For decades, Patagonia has been a company that has put forward and supported some of the best photography and photographers out there. In a retrospective new video, they took at the photos taken for them by Gary Regester in the 1970s.
From Patagonia:
“In the early ’70s, Gary Regester got an inside look at Chouinard Equipment while taking photos for a class assignment. This photo essay from the Spring 2023 50th anniversary Patagonia Journal resurfaces his photos and shares how he unwittingly helped us arrive at a more journalistic approach to commercial photography. Or what our founder, Yvon Chouinard, calls ‘an honest shot: real people doing real things.'”
